Macon Pride: Pioneers & Trailblazers LGBTQ+ History Exhibit

  • Tubman African American Museum 310 Cherry Street Macon, GA, 31201 United States (map)

Marques Redd will be inducted into the 2025 class of Macon Pride’s Pioneers & Trailblazers LGBTQ+ History Exhibit. Held at the Tubman African American Museum, this exhibit celebrates the lives and legacies of LGBTQ+ visionaries who have shaped Georgia through their courage, creativity, and leadership.

This year’s exhibit expands through a special partnership with Storytellers Macon Live, incorporating dynamic oral histories and live performances. As both an inductee and featured storyteller, Marques will share reflections on art, memory, and transformation—offering a glimpse into his journey as a cultural worker, scholar, and co-founder of Rainbow Serpent.

This celebration of queer Southern heritage is free and open to the public.
